80 Mile, an exploration and development company, has made significant discoveries of natural hydrogen and helium at its Hammaslahti project in Finland. On October 21st, the company announced that natural hydrogen concentrations have reached 1,000 parts per million, with helium levels peaking at 8.90% and stabilizing around 7.10%. 80 Mile considers these findings a pivotal milestone, as they represent the first documented occurrence of hydrogen and helium in the Hammaslahti area.

Eric Sondergaard, Managing Director of 80 Mile, characterized the news as a pivotal development that emphasizes the area's potential. He stated, “These results underscore the significant opportunities that lie ahead for Hammaslahti, and we remain fully committed to expanding our exploration efforts and delivering meaningful, long-term value for our shareholders.”

The Hammaslahti license encompasses over 600 drill holes, providing a robust foundation for ongoing exploration. Following these promising results, 80 Mile plans to intensify its exploration activities in the region, aiming to enhance its gas sampling program across Finland. In September 2024, the company announced what it believes to be the first documented occurrence of helium in Finland at its Outokumpu Belt project, where concentrations reached up to 10.7%.

Alongside helium, 80 Mile detected geological hydrogen levels of up to 46%.Geological hydrogen refers to hydrogen formed through natural processes within the Earth’s crust, where it can accumulate and continue to be produced in underground reservoirs. This distinction underscores the considerable potential of the gas as a resource, further increasing the project's value.

With these encouraging results, 80 Mile is well-positioned to leverage its findings to attract further investment and interest in its projects. The company's dedication to expanding its exploration efforts reflects its confidence in the potential for long-term benefits, both for itself and its shareholders. As exploration progresses, 80 Mile seeks to gain further insights into the resource potential in the Hammaslahti region, positioning itself as a significant player in Finland's natural gas sector.

In summary, 80 Mile’s recent discoveries at the Hammaslahti project mark an exciting chapter in its exploration journey. High concentrations of natural hydrogen and helium present promising opportunities for future development. The company’s strategic emphasis on boosting exploration efforts and expanding its gas sampling program throughout Finland demonstrates its ambition to leverage these discoveries and address the increasing interest in natural gas resources in the region. The success at Hammaslahti could open the door for further exploration and development within Finland's burgeoning energy sector, highlighting the potential of natural hydrogen and helium as valuable resources for the future.
