Aekyung Petrochemical, a prominent subsidiary of Aekyung Group based in South Korea, has announced plans to initiate a temporary shutdown of its phthalic anhydride plant located in Ulsan, South Korea. This scheduled maintenance is scheduled to commence on April 15, with the objective of conducting essential repairs to enhance the operational efficiency of the facility. The phthalic anhydride plant, equipped with two production lines, boasts a total annual capacity of 60 thousand tons for each line. It is worth noting that Aekyung Petrochemical has previously undertaken unscheduled repairs at its plasticizer plant in Ulsan. The plasticizer plant, with a robust annual production capacity of 450 thousand tons, underwent repair activities from January 16 to 20. The completion of these repairs allowed Aekyung Petrochemical to resume production at the plasticizer facility, showcasing the company's adeptness in swiftly addressing operational requirements and maintaining production continuity.
