India: Alleima, a global manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel and heating systems, recently unveiled its new Hydraulic and Instrumentation tubing factory at its Mehsana Mill in Gujarat, western India. The factory is part of the company's growth initiative launched in 2017 and will help meet the rising demand for locally manufactured products in the region. The investment is split into two parts – with a Heat Exchanger cold finish Tube Capacity expected to be fully functioning by 2023. This significant venture promises to benefit both Alleima and the local economy as it continues providing quality products for years to come.

In 1983, Alleima established operations in Pune, India. Since then, the Mehsana manufacturing facility has grown in importance and been modernized and expanded for increased production of high-quality seamless Stainless Steel and high alloy tubes.

To meet the growing demand from infrastructure around natural gas and from the Chemical and Petrochemical segment in India, Alleima is now expanding its Hydraulic and Instrumentation Tube capacity with a new factory. This expansion will enable the transition to cleaner alternative fuels while meeting increasing market demand.

Alleima is expanding its presence in Asia with the Mehsana Mill facility, said President and CEO Goran Bjorkman. “The new Hydraulic and Instrumentation tubing manufacturing facility will enable us to serve our customers locally with premium products in India. The investment aims to capture growth opportunities in the Chemical and Petrochemical segment. There is also a change towards increased natural gas in the energy mix and a shift towards alternative clean fuels, which present further growth opportunities.”

In 2017, Alleima began a growth initiative that culminated in 2020 when they added a cold-finishing tube manufacturing line to create heat exchanger tubing and other industrial uses. Sharath Satish, President of Alleima's Business Unit Tube APAC, remarked: “We look forward to ramping up our production to cater to the increasing demand for locally manufactured products in India while aligning with the Government of India’s.”

Mehsana Tube Mill in Gujarat, India is a leader in the production of advanced corrosion-resistant tubes and pipes for a variety of industries. From austenitic Stainless Steel to duplexes and high nickel alloys, their laboratory tests measure tensile strength, yield strength and other characteristics to meet exceptionally stringent customer specifications from ASTM, ASME, EN, NACE 0101/0175 and more. Meanwhile, Alleima AB is an international manufacturer delivering top-of-the-line solutions in the form of seamless Steel tubes for the energy, chemical and aerospace industries; precision strip Steel for white goods compressors; and air conditioners.
