Astute Metals Ltd. has identified two distinct zones of lithium mineralization at its wholly owned Red Mountain Project in Nevada, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing exploration campaign in the United States.

The company is currently completing core processing and is awaiting assay results from the remaining four drillholes from its April 2025 drilling program. These pending results will be integrated with existing surface sampling data to support and refine Astute’s exploration strategy for the latter half of 2025.

Drilling at Red Mountain has delivered promising results. In particular, drillhole RMDD005 intersected two notable lithium-bearing zones beneath a layer of alluvial gravel. One intercept returned 9.1 meters at 1,349 parts per million (ppm) lithium, which equates to 0.72% lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE), starting at a depth of 57.9 meters. This result falls within a broader mineralized section measuring 80 meters at 860 ppm lithium (0.46% LCE), beginning from just 12.2 meters below the surface.

The mineralized zone remains open down dip and along strike, which aligns with the company’s model targeting both the eastern and western zones within the broader Red Mountain area.

“These results confirm our technical team’s expectations of intersecting lithium mineralization beneath cover,” said Chairman Tony Leibowitz. “They provide increasing confidence in the geological model that supports the Red Mountain Exploration Target and bring us closer to the planned release of a maiden JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate later this year.”

According to Leibowitz, the exploration program has confirmed lithium mineralization over an approximate strike length of six kilometers, which he says highlights the significant scale potential of the project. The recent drilling has helped improve continuity between previously tested areas, forming a more robust and coherent body of mineralization while simultaneously reducing geological risk.

The Red Mountain Project is strategically located in a region of Nevada known for lithium-rich geology. The site contains sedimentary rocks of the same age and character as those found at American Battery Technology’s Tonopah Flats Lithium Project, further validating the project's exploration potential.

Astute, which currently holds a market capitalization of $14.83 million, has already completed extensive exploration at the site. To date, the company has drilled a total of 1,944 meters across 13 reverse circulation and diamond drillholes. Previous surface sampling campaigns revealed widespread lithium anomalies in soils and confirmed bedrock mineralization, with high-grade lithium assays reaching up to 4,150 ppm.

Astute Metals is a mineral exploration company focused on the development of lithium and copper assets across its portfolio of critical mineral projects in both Australia and the United States. The company continues to target assets that support the transition to a clean energy future.
