Axjo Group Expands in France With Eco-Tourets Acquisition

Axjo Group acquires Eco-Tourets to expand sustainable packaging operations in France, improve logistics, strengthen customer ties, and support circularity.

Axjo Group, a provider of recycled polymer packaging solutions, has acquired French company Eco-Tourets as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in France and build closer relationships with customers across the country. The transaction will establish a stronger local platform for Axjo Group, enabling the company to improve service, accelerate deliveries, and pursue new growth opportunities in the French market.

Following the acquisition, Eco-Tourets’ facility in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, located southeast of Paris, will initially operate as a local logistics and sales hub for Axjo Group. The facility is expected to help the company respond more efficiently to customer requirements while reducing logistical distances and improving supply reliability.

The acquisition forms part of Axjo Group’s broader European expansion strategy, which focuses on developing stronger local operations. Earlier in 2026, the company established Axjo GmbH in Cologne, Germany. Its latest move into France represents another step toward creating a geographically diversified network capable of providing localized services and sustainable packaging solutions.

Axjo Group and Eco-Tourets share a common focus on developing more sustainable packaging systems for industrial customers. Both companies emphasize efficient return systems that enable packaging products to be reused and help create a more circular material flow. This approach is particularly relevant to industries seeking to reduce packaging waste and improve resource efficiency.

Axjo Group CEO Jacob Nilsson said that strong local hubs are important for delivering high-quality customer service. He described France as a key market and highlighted the acquisition’s potential to create additional growth opportunities. He also emphasized the value of Eco-Tourets founder Maxime Peyronny’s entrepreneurial approach and knowledge of the French market.

Eco-Tourets was founded by Maxime Peyronny and developed a business centered on sustainable packaging solutions for the wire and cable industry. His industry expertise, local customer relationships, and emphasis on data and research were important factors supporting the transaction.

Peyronny will remain with the business and lead Axjo Group’s local operations in France. He said the combination of Axjo Group’s scalability with his local network and market knowledge provides a strong foundation for further expansion.

Looking ahead, Axjo Group intends to build on the Eco-Tourets platform by establishing additional local hubs and investing in production capabilities within France. These initiatives could create a more integrated and efficient supply network while supporting the company’s long-term objective of expanding circular packaging solutions across Europe.

Product and Chemical Commodity Price Impact

The acquisition is expected to have a positive impact on Axjo Group’s recycled polymer packaging products, particularly in France, by improving distribution, customer access, delivery efficiency, and the availability of sustainable packaging solutions. Additional local production could eventually reduce logistics costs and strengthen supply reliability. For chemical commodities tracked by ChemAnalyst, the immediate price impact is likely to be limited, as the transaction does not directly add significant polymer capacity or alter feedstock demand. However, stronger adoption of reusable recycled polymer packaging could gradually increase demand for recycled polymers while supporting sustainability-driven demand for virgin-polymer alternatives, potentially creating modest upward pressure on recycled polymer prices over the longer term.
