BASF has successfully obtained ISCC+ certification for all its major global production sites involved in Acrylics, Alcohols, Glycol Ethers, and Acetates. This significant milestone marks a major advancement in supporting its customers’ sustainability goals and aspirations. With ISCC+ certification, BASF can now produce over 60 products within this portfolio, each featuring one or more sustainability attributes. In addition to its established range of high-quality and dependable ‘Classic’ products, the majority of the portfolio now includes options with various sustainability attributes. These attributes include ‘Low-PCF’ and ‘Zero-PCF,’ which focus on reducing the product carbon footprint and assisting customers in meeting their greenhouse gas reduction targets. ‘Bio-based’ products incorporate biomass and are traceable using the 14C method. Ccycled® products are manufactured from chemically recycled materials sourced from plastic waste or end-of-life tires, supporting a circular economy. Furthermore, products ‘Made using Green Power’ highlight BASF's commitment to renewable energy, enhancing the sustainability of the production process.
