China’s Plywood market remained broadly stable in July ****, with the benchmark Birch Plywood (Eucalyptus core, *mm) FOB Qingdao holding at USD *,***.**/MT, unchanged from the June assessment. The Plywood market lacked a strong catalyst in either direction as balanced availability and steady but selective downstream purchasing kept producer offers largely unchanged through the month. Domestic construction, renovation, and furniture manufacturing continued to provide a dependable consumption base, although buyers largely focused on immediate requirements rather than aggressive inventory accumulation.
Supply conditions were comparatively balanced during July. Plywood mills maintained relatively stable operating rates, while raw-material availability was sufficient to support regular production schedules. Unlike June, when maintenance interruptions and tighter spot availability provided additional support, July did not witness a comparable supply-side disruption.
