Circularix launches Ocala recycling facility, expands Hatfield site, boosting U.S. rPET capacity to support sustainable packaging goals for consumer brands.

Circularix, a prominent U.S.-based producer of food-grade recycled PET (rPET) resin, has announced the official start-up of its new recycling plant in Ocala, Florida. The facility, now fully operational, marks a major step in the company’s expansion strategy and complements its existing flagship facility in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. With this development, Circularix has significantly enhanced its capacity to supply high-quality recycled PET resin to major consumer brands committed to sustainable packaging solutions.

Founder and CEO Leon Farahnik highlighted the achievement as a milestone for the company, emphasizing the speed with which the Ocala facility was brought online. “We built and commissioned this plant in record time,” Farahnik noted. “From receiving equipment in mid-March to reaching full production by August 1, this accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team. Their commitment and efficiency enabled us to bring our second facility online faster than industry norms.”

Alongside the Ocala launch, Circularix has also begun the process of expanding its Hatfield, Pennsylvania, facility. The company is acquiring adjacent industrial space to increase production capacity at the site. Once complete, this expansion will further strengthen Circularix’s ability to meet the rising demand for food-grade rPET across the United States.

Farahnik explained that with increased capacity in both Florida and Pennsylvania, the company will be better positioned to allocate more volumes of high-quality recycled PET to its core partners. “This expansion allows us to support the packaging sustainability goals of consumer brands that are actively transitioning to circular materials,” he said.

Circularix has rapidly earned a strong reputation within the U.S. recycling and packaging industry. Its mission is rooted in advancing the circular plastics economy, where used materials are reprocessed and reintroduced into supply chains rather than being discarded as waste. The company ensures that its rPET meets strict quality, safety, and consistency standards so it can be reliably used in food, beverage, and consumer product packaging.

The establishment of the Ocala plant and the planned Hatfield expansion underscore Circularix’s commitment to scaling solutions that address the growing global challenge of plastic waste. By expanding its recycling capacity, the company is not only meeting commercial demand but also contributing to broader sustainability goals shared by regulators, corporations, and consumers.

With two facilities operational and further expansion on the horizon, Circularix is reinforcing its position as a critical player in the shift toward sustainable packaging. Its investments in advanced recycling technology and infrastructure are helping accelerate the adoption of recycled materials in mainstream consumer products, advancing both industry performance and environmental responsibility.
