The supply rates were steady in the region as intra-Asia trade improved, driven by restocking in manufacturing, increased regional consumption, and growth in e-commerce during the month. Trade agreements helped make cross-border sourcing easier, and logistics capacity improved after the summer. At the same time, the demand for FAE was consistent in the regional market due to firm consumption to derive sustainable skincare products, and in paints and coatings for eco-friendly formulations. Meanwhile, the FAE production rates were moderately low in the region due to constrained supplies of feedstock Fatty Alcohol. However, the market dynamics indicate that FAE prices would increase in the coming months amid stable to low market supplies and an increase in demand from the cosmetics sector in winter. At the same time, higher freight costs amid seasonal container shortages and port congestion would raise the final product costs.
