Global PSF Prices Slide in July H1 Amid Sluggish Demand and Soft Feedstock Costs

Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) experienced a bearish price trend during the early half of July 2025 in the key global market. This is mainly attributed to the sluggishness in the feedstock market and the weak demand conditions from the downstream market.

In the United States market, PSF prices experienced a bearish price trend during the July Hx. Prices for PSF declined notable by x.xx and reached USD xxxx/MT CFR Texas, during the week ending on July x. Further the PSF price trend continued the steady trend in the local market.

Demand conditions were soft during the period coupled with the declining retail and online sales during the period. While the supply conditions were high during the period coupled with the cheap imports. However, there has been a notable shift in the trade partners coupled with the rising tariff related trade tensions.
