Late May 2025: U.S. Summer Fill and China’s Export Limits Drives DAP Prices Rally

In the fourth week of May xxxx the global market for diammonium phosphate (DAP) saw a sharp increase due to ongoing supply shortages, a decline in exports from major manufacturers, and increased seasonal demand in important agricultural areas.  Three important participants in the global DAP trade—China, Russia, and the USA—saw significant price movements in the face of changing trade flows, legal obstacles, and logistical constraints.

In the US prices for DAP DEL Illinois rose x.xx to USD xxx/tonne due to a strong demand in the domestic market, implementation of Mosaic&#xx;s summer fill program, and tightened import flows due to countervailing duties on Morocco and Russia.
