LG Chem Ltd., headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, has officially commenced the mass production and commercial supply of semiconductor stripper materials to Amkor Technology Inc., a leading outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) provider based in the United States. This milestone represents LG Chem's first commercial entry into the semiconductor stripper market and supports the company's broader strategy of expanding its presence in the high-value semiconductor materials sector.

Semiconductor strippers are essential specialty chemicals used during chip manufacturing to remove photoresist (PR) layers and residual contaminants left on semiconductor wafers after circuit patterning. As semiconductor devices continue to become more compact and technologically advanced, efficient residue removal has become increasingly critical for maintaining production yields, ensuring device reliability, and achieving high manufacturing quality.
