Niutech expands tire pyrolysis capacity to 160,000 TPY using advanced technology, boosting efficiency, product quality, and global sustainable recycling capabilities.
Niutech Environment Technology Corporation has announced a major step forward in sustainable waste management with the launch of a large-scale tire pyrolysis expansion project. On March 24, its majority-owned subsidiary, Shandong Hesheng Environment Technology Co., Ltd., officially began construction of a new facility designed to significantly increase tire recycling capacity. The project will add 100,000 tons per year (TPY) of processing capability, raising Hesheng’s total annual capacity from 60,000 TPY to an impressive 160,000 TPY. This expansion positions the company as one of the world’s leading enterprises in the collection, processing, and comprehensive utilization of waste tires through advanced pyrolysis technology.
The expansion project will incorporate Niutech’s next-generation industrial continuous pyrolysis systems, which are engineered to deliver superior performance compared to conventional solutions. These advanced systems are designed to enhance single-unit processing capacity, improve operational uptime, and introduce higher levels of automation. As a result, the project is expected to significantly reduce unit operating costs while improving overall efficiency and economic returns. Such advancements are crucial in enabling large-scale, commercially viable tire pyrolysis operations, a challenge that has long been a focal point for the global recycling industry.
Achieving stable, continuous, and scalable pyrolysis operations has historically been a major hurdle. This new development not only demonstrates Niutech’s technological progress in high-end research, development, and manufacturing but also highlights its capability to promote broader industrial adoption of continuous pyrolysis solutions. The project serves as a practical example of how innovative engineering can overcome long-standing barriers in waste tire recycling and resource recovery.
In terms of product output, Hesheng continues to enhance the quality and consistency of its pyrolysis-derived materials by leveraging Niutech’s strong research and development expertise. The company’s tire pyrolysis oil has already secured international certifications, enabling access to premium global markets. Additionally, ongoing technological improvements are driving the evolution of pyrolysis carbon black toward standardized, high-value applications. These enhancements ensure that the products meet increasing customer expectations for reliability, uniformity, and performance across various industrial uses.
The timing of this expansion aligns with the rapid growth of the global circular economy, where demand for sustainable and recycled materials is steadily increasing. Industries such as tire manufacturing, chemicals, and advanced materials are actively seeking high-quality pyrolysis oil and carbon black as alternatives to conventional resources. Once the expansion is completed, Hesheng will be better equipped to provide consistent, large-volume supplies of these materials, strengthening its role in supporting downstream industries with reliable recycled inputs.
Looking ahead, Niutech emphasized its commitment to continued innovation and large-scale deployment of pyrolysis technologies. By leveraging its strengths as a listed company, it aims to further advance equipment capabilities and expand global adoption of sustainable recycling solutions. Through these efforts, Niutech seeks to play a pivotal role in improving waste tire resource recovery while contributing to global environmental goals, including green development and carbon reduction initiatives.
