Polyolefin Elastomer Prices Slip in Asia as Feedstock Costs Drop, Demand Cools

In Hx May xxxx, Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) prices in asian market fell due to a combination of lower production costs and weakening demand. South Korea&#xx;s supply stayed stable, but export activity dropped, and construction demand weakened. In Japan, falling vehicle sales and sluggish residential construction put pressure on the market. Both countries experienced a slowdown in global demand, especially from China, which contributed to the decline in POE prices.

In Hx May xxxx, the price of Octene-based POE in South Korea dropped to USD x,xxx/MT FOB-Seoul. The price drop was mainly because production costs took a hit, with Ethylene prices falling continuously. As a result, manufacturers had more room to lower POE prices.
