Prices of n-heptane Continue to Face Pressure Across Asia Amid Tepid Demand

During the late January 2026, n-heptane prices in the Asian market remained under pressure following the m-o-m declined. During the last month, n-heptane prices dropped around 6.5% due to oversupply, weak demand and lower feedstock naphtha prices.

In China, n-heptane prices stayed low ahead of the lunar year as the supply remained sufficient. Downstream buyers had enough inventory, further dampening the market sentiments. Buyers are advised to remain cautious amid a bearish market sentiment.

On the feedstock side, naphtha prices continue to decline due to lower upstream crude oil. Upstream crude oil prices declined nearly xxx globally in xxxx due to lower demand, oversupply issue to higher production by the OPEC+, further kept the n-heptane prices low.

Meanwhile, supply chain is disrupted by the unfavorable weather. Transportation disrupted in several parts of China due to snowy weather, leading to increase the inventory and putting downward pressure on the n-heptane prices.
