Reolite achieves first EPA registration for dual silver-zinc ion antimicrobial powder, enabling global broad-spectrum protection across healthcare, consumer, and industrial sectors.

Robin K. International Inc., operating under the brand name Reolite, has achieved a historic milestone in antimicrobial innovation. The company announced that it has received the world’s first registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA Registration No. 102257-2) for an antimicrobial powder formulated with two active ingredients: Silver Ion (Ag?) and Zinc Ion (Zn²?). This achievement establishes a new global benchmark in antimicrobial technology, going beyond the limitations of traditional silver-only agents that have long been the standard. Reolite’s dual-ion powder platform is the first of its kind to gain EPA recognition, offering broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection designed to combat Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and fungi.

The registration represents more than a regulatory victory. Within only three weeks of achieving this milestone, Reolite was selected as a tier-one vendor by a global top-tier electronics company. This collaboration is now focused on developing next-generation antimicrobial solutions, further validating the commercial potential of the platform. The company’s technology is designed to be versatile, scalable, and adaptable across more than 2,000 product categories. The antimicrobial powder can be permanently integrated into fabrics, textiles, plastics, films, coatings, and resins, enabling applications that stretch across healthcare, consumer goods, industrial manufacturing, and defense. Despite its advanced performance, Reolite’s solution is offered at a comparable cost to conventional materials, making adoption more practical for manufacturers.

The platform has also been validated through certifications and real-world applications around the globe. In Japan, it has earned SIAA certification for multiple compounds, including REOLITE-PP, Reolite_CR-PET, and REOLITE-PE. It has also received SEK certification for fabrics, demonstrating 99.99% antimicrobial effectiveness even after enduring 100 industrial washes. In the United States, it is listed with the Food and Drug Administration for use in medical gowns and hospital textiles, ensuring compliance with stringent healthcare standards. Reolite has also extended its impact to defense, donating products to the U.S. Navy’s 311th Fleet and U.S. Forces Korea, both of which issued letters of appreciation for the contribution. Recognition has come in other sectors as well, with the company winning the 2025 K-Beauty Awards in the Healthcare Division, supported by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. It is also an active member of the Advanced Functional Fabrics of America (AFFOA), a U.S. Department of Defense and MIT initiative, and is scheduled to present at the AFFOA Summit in Boston on September 23, 2025.

According to Billy Kang, Chairman of Robin K. International Inc., “Reolite is not just a material but a strategic platform for industries worldwide.” He noted that the company is working closely with Fortune 500 organizations and defense-related networks to bring long-lasting, embedded antimicrobial protection to advanced applications. To build on its momentum, Reolite is raising strategic growth capital to establish large-scale production facilities in both the United States and Korea. This expansion will allow the company to target the enormous global apparel market, valued at USD 2 trillion, and the plastics market, valued at USD 660 billion. By embedding its dual silver and zinc ion technology into essential materials, Reolite is positioning itself to transform the way industries approach safety, hygiene, and material resilience worldwide.
