Sigma Lithium Corporation, a prominent global lithium producer committed to fueling the forthcoming era of electric vehicles with carbon-neutral, socially responsible, and environmentally sustainable lithium concentrate, has announced its preparations for the imminent third shipment of 20,000 tonnes of Triple Zero Green Lithium at Vitoria Port. The company is set to conclude the delivery process by truck to the Port of Vitoria, with the entire consignment ready for loading by October 20.

Ana Cabral, the CEO & co-Chairperson of Sigma Lithium, expressed the significance of this third shipment, emphasizing its role in affirming the steady progression of their Greentech Plant's ramp-up process. She underscored the exemplary capabilities and executional consistency of the technical leadership team on-site, along with the cultural alignment of the entire company towards a common ethos—large-scale production with 100% of tailings dry-stacked and 100% of water reutilized.

The Triple Zero Green Lithium from Sigma Lithium is manufactured at its cutting-edge Greentech lithium plant, situated at the Grota do Cirilo Project in Brazil—an accolade for being the world's first lithium project without a tailings dam. With a unique approach of 100% dry-stacked tailings and the exclusion of hazardous chemical products in lithium processing, the company actively prevents water and soil contamination, contributing significantly to the preservation of rivers and forests in the region.

Moreover, Sigma Lithium has distinguished itself by adopting environmentally sustainable production methods and maintaining a low carbon content in its products. Notably, the carbon footprint associated with the shipment is offset through the purchase of carbon credits from Carbonext, which undergo verification through the Verra Verified Carbon Standard, rendering the entire shipment carbon neutral.

The achievements of Sigma Lithium go beyond conventional mining practices, embodying a commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility. By adhering to the principles of sustainability, the company is making noteworthy strides in the production of lithium, a crucial component for advancing the global transition to cleaner energy and electric mobility.

As Sigma Lithium advances with its third shipment, the company stands as a beacon in the industry, showcasing that large-scale production and sustainability are not mutually exclusive. Through responsible sourcing, innovative technologies, and a dedication to a green future, Sigma Lithium is contributing meaningfully to the ongoing energy transition and the evolution of electric vehicles. The success of its Greentech Plant and the forthcoming shipment underscore the tangible progress that can be achieved when environmental consciousness is at the core of industrial endeavors.
