Sika Broadens Its Global Manufacturing Network with Five New Production Facilities in High-Growth Regions

William Faulkner 04-Feb-2026

Sika expands global manufacturing with five new plants, strengthening supply chains and capturing growth across key construction markets worldwide.

Sika has taken a major step forward in strengthening its global manufacturing and supply chain capabilities with the launch of five new production facilities across the United States, Argentina, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Tanzania. This expansion reflects the company’s long-term strategy to enhance production capacity, deepen its presence in fast-growing construction markets, and remain close to customers through localized manufacturing. By strategically positioning these plants in regions experiencing rising infrastructure and construction demand, Sika aims to improve supply reliability, shorten delivery times, and increase operational flexibility across its global network.

Each of the newly commissioned sites has been designed to meet regional market requirements while aligning with Sika’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and performance-driven construction solutions.

United States: Reinforcing Leadership in a Key Core Market

In the United States, Sika has inaugurated a state-of-the-art concrete admixture manufacturing facility in Haines City, Florida. As one of the company’s most important markets globally, the U.S. continues to play a central role in Sika’s growth strategy. The Florida plant features the highest level of automation among Sika’s admixture facilities in the country, enabling efficient production of a broad portfolio of advanced concrete technologies.

These products are designed to enhance concrete strength, durability, and sustainability, supporting infrastructure and construction projects nationwide. The new facility also contributes significantly to Sika’s environmental goals. Equipped with advanced water-saving and waste-reduction systems, the plant is expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 8,000 tons by 2032, reinforcing Sika’s focus on sustainable manufacturing.

Argentina: Strengthening Market Presence in the Northeast

Sika has also expanded its footprint in Argentina with the opening of a new dry mortar production facility in Puerto Tirol, Chaco. This site will serve the Northeast region of the country and marks Sika’s eighth manufacturing facility in Argentina, where the company has been active for more than eight decades.

After several challenging years, Argentina’s construction sector is showing signs of recovery and renewed growth. The new plant positions Sika to capitalize on this momentum by improving market penetration, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting regional development with high-quality construction solutions.

Colombia: Expanding Operations in a Strategic Industrial Region

In Colombia, Sika has launched a modern production facility in Cali, one of the nation’s most important economic centers. The region accounts for nearly 30% of Colombia’s GDP and is home to about 20% of its population, making it a strategic location for industrial expansion.

The Cali plant manufactures a wide range of products, including mortars, tile adhesives, interior wall finishes, acrylic coatings, and concrete admixtures. This diversified portfolio enables Sika to meet increasing domestic demand while also improving its ability to serve export markets more efficiently.

Bangladesh: Supporting Rapid Construction Growth

Sika’s new manufacturing site in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, focuses on producing concrete admixtures and mortars that enhance the performance, durability, and sustainability of buildings and infrastructure. The facility also supports growing demand for Sika’s recently introduced high-performance tile adhesives, both within Bangladesh and in neighboring markets.

Bangladesh represents a high-growth construction market, with projected CAGR exceeding 7% between 2026 and 2029. Growth is being driven by sustained investment in infrastructure, energy, education, housing, and large-scale government-funded development programs.

Tanzania: Strengthening Presence Across East Africa

In East Africa, Sika has established a new production facility in Mwanza, a rapidly growing economic region and major mining hub in Tanzania. The plant manufactures mortars, concrete admixtures, specialized grouts for mining and construction, and grinding aids for cement plants.

Thanks to its strategic location, the Mwanza facility serves local demand while supporting exports to Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Tanzania’s construction market continues to expand at a mid-to-high single-digit growth rate, offering strong long-term opportunities for Sika in the region.
