Silicon Metals Corp. completed initial surveys at Longworth and Silica Ridge, advancing high-purity silica exploration in British Columbia.

Silicon Metals Corp. has successfully concluded its preliminary assessment surveys at its fully owned Longworth and Silica Ridge silica projects, both located in British Columbia. These early-stage surveys represent a crucial step in advancing the company’s efforts to identify and evaluate high-purity silica opportunities within these promising properties.

At the Silica Ridge site, exploration teams collected a total of 27 rock samples along a well-defined quartzite ridge. This area has a history of exploration activities, which previously reported high-grade SiO2 concentrations, suggesting the potential for substantial high-purity silica deposits. The sampling focused on key exposures along the ridge to provide the company with representative material for further testing and evaluation.

Meanwhile, at the Longworth project, the field team gathered 13 rock samples from prominent quartzite ridges. Previous exploration in this area also indicated elevated silica content, highlighting the property’s potential as a source of high-quality silica for industrial and technological applications. The selected rock samples from both sites are now being prepared for rigorous analysis.

All collected samples will undergo detailed assessment by Silicon Metals Corp., followed by submission to an ISO 9001-certified laboratory for comprehensive whole-rock analysis. The primary aim of this laboratory testing is to determine the purity of SiO2 in the samples and to evaluate their suitability for high-purity silica production. The insights gained from this work are intended to provide a scientific foundation for the company’s planned 2026 exploration programs and to guide the identification of target areas for further development.

This assessment program represents the first significant milestone in the company’s strategy to advance both the Longworth and Silica Ridge projects toward delineating zones of high-purity silica suitable for a range of industrial and emerging technology applications, including potential uses in electronics, advanced materials, and other high-value sectors.

Morgan Good, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Silicon Metals Corp., stated: “Completing the initial work at both our 100% owned Longworth and Silica Ridge projects as we enter November is an important achievement. The results from this survey will provide additional detail and context for our team as we continue to evaluate the potential of these assets. At the same time, the Company’s current primary focus remains on our production-permitted Maple-Birch project in Sudbury, Ontario. We anticipate sharing ongoing updates about Maple-Birch and our progress across all projects in the coming weeks, keeping our stakeholders informed of developments in both exploration and production activities.”

Through these initial surveys and subsequent analytical work, Silicon Metals Corp. demonstrates its commitment to advancing high-purity silica exploration and development in British Columbia while simultaneously maintaining active progress on production-ready projects.
