Sinopec Restarts Polypropylene Production in China

Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Sinopec, a global leader in energy and chemicals, has successfully recommenced the production of polypropylene (PP) on Line 18 in Guangdong province, China, effective November 1. This renewal follows a carefully planned period of scheduled maintenance, during which Line No. 1, with an annual production capacity of 170 thousand tons of PP, was temporarily closed from September 4 to November 18.

Earlier this year, on July 12, Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical, another subsidiary of the energy and chemical powerhouse Sinopec, initiated scheduled maintenance on Line No. 3, a polypropylene production line located in Guangdong Province, China.
