Sinopec Yizheng Chemfibre Halts TPA Manufacturing on Line No. 2 in China

On November 13, Sinopec Yizheng Chemfibre, a leading Chinese petrochemical producer, initiated a temporary halt at its No. 2 terephthalic acid (TPA) plant situated in Yizheng, China. This strategic shutdown is part of a meticulously planned maintenance program designed to optimize the plant's overall performance. The production line affected by this maintenance effort boasts an annual TPA production capacity of 650 thousand tons and is anticipated to undergo necessary maintenance activities for an approximate duration of 10 days.

This recent maintenance period follows a prior shutdown earlier in the year. Specifically, on April 6, 2022, Sinopec Yizheng Chemfibre recommenced production on line No. 2 subsequent to the completion of scheduled repairs. The maintenance endeavors for this particular line, maintaining the same annual TPA production capacity, were initiated on March 29, 2022.
