Traders redirecting volumes to price-sensitive Southeast Asian markets tightened US spot availability through mid-month, leaving inventories lean and prompting buyers to accept higher quotations to meet front-loaded blending schedules. Demand from dietary supplements and cosmeceuticals was the principal driver of the uplift. The nutraceutical channel accelerated premix purchases and blending ahead of the seasonal rush, while cosmeceuticals demand for anti-aging applications contributed to the uptick, alongside a modest global demand rise. By contrast, pharmaceuticals and beverage/pet-nutrition users remained more measured. Prices rose about eight percent month-on-month, reflecting tight Asia-origin offers and premium supplier positioning. Outlook points to modest further gains ahead, with softening and partial recovery expected later in the year, contingent on replenishment dynamics.
