Toshiba Corporation is set to participate in ASIA Sustainable Energy Week 2025 (ASEW 2025), the region’s leading event for clean energy innovation. Scheduled to take place from July 2 to 4 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, the event provides Toshiba with a platform to showcase its advanced SCiB™ lithium-ion battery technology. This configuration ensures exceptional safety, a rapid charging capability—achieving 80% charge in just six minutes—and a remarkably long lifespan of over 20,000 charge-discharge cycles. These features make SCiB™ particularly well-suited for demanding use cases in mobility and logistics, where performance, durability, and reliability are critical.

Innovative Urban Mobility Through BaaS Model

Piloted in Bangkok with a local partner, this model enables motorcycle taxi operators to access SCiB™ batteries without the burden of upfront investment. The BaaS platform also addresses fire safety concerns, especially in Southeast Asia’s high-temperature environments, thanks to the SCiB™ battery’s excellent thermal stability. This model demonstrates Toshiba’s commitment to making sustainable urban mobility both safe and accessible.
