Ammonia Prices Rise in Asia While Western Markets Experience Declines in Early April 2025

Global Ammonia market is currently under pressure with prices moving in different directions.  This volatility in the Ammonia market is attributed to a variety of factors including fluctuating feedstock prices, ongoing trade uncertainties and tariffs imposed by the USA government.  During the first week of April xxxx, the prices declined in the west however, increased marginally in the Asian region.

In the Chinese market, Ammonia prices experienced a marginal increase during the first week of April xxxx. As per ChemAnalyst, the FOB prices of Aqueous Ammonia at Qingdao port settled at USD xxx/MT after increasing by USD x/MT.  This slight uptick in prices is driven by firm demand  particularly for the essential downstream derivative Urea, which exerted upward pressure on ammonia consumption.
