BUA Foods Plc, a major player in Nigeria's food industry, has partnered with IMAS, a renowned Turkish supplier of flour milling technology, to establish four advanced wheat and flour mills with a combined daily capacity of 3,200 tons. This strategic collaboration underscores BUA Foods' commitment to expanding its production capacity and meeting the growing demand for high-quality flour products in the Nigerian market.

This strategic move marks a key milestone in BUA Foods' expansion efforts since its listing on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX). The newly planned factories will substantially increase manufacturing capacity, enabling BUA Foods to produce a greater volume of high-quality products, thereby helping to tackle food security challenges in Nigeria. The agreement was officially signed during a ceremony with top executives from both BUA Foods and IMAS, underscoring BUA Foods' commitment to expanding its production capabilities across all business divisions.

At the signing ceremony, Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Foods Plc, emphasized that the partnership with IMAS reflects BUA Foods' commitment to enhancing food security in Nigeria. He highlighted that the new factories will substantially increase the company's capacity to produce high-quality flour products, which will also contribute to job creation across the country. Rabiu pointed out that this investment aligns with BUA Foods' goal of expanding its market share in the Nigerian flour industry. The addition of four new mills will allow the company to produce high-quality flour, giving them the flexibility to meet diverse flour demands.

Vice President of IMAS, Mustafa Ozdemir, expressed his satisfaction in contributing to BUA Foods' expansion efforts. He emphasized that IMAS is proud to be part of this initiative, which aims to ensure that more people in Africa have access to affordable and healthy food. Ozdemir highlighted the importance of this partnership in supporting BUA Foods' mission to enhance food security and improve the availability of quality food products across the continent.
