Cameron LNG, a major liquefied natural gas export facility, has successfully shipped its 1,000th cargo, marking a significant operational milestone just six years after its first export.

Cameron LNG, a prominent liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility situated near Hackberry, Louisiana, proudly announced the successful production and export of its 1,000th cargo. This remarkable achievement comes a mere six years after the facility dispatched its inaugural commissioning cargo on May 31, 2019, highlighting its rapid operational ramp-up and consistent performance in the global energy market.

The milestone cargo departed on July 17, 2025, aboard the Maran Gas Kimolos LNG tanker from the facility located along the Calcasieu Ship Channel. This event not only signifies a quantitative success but also reinforces Cameron LNG's standing as a critical player in meeting the escalating international demand for natural gas.

Art Klein, President of Cameron LNG, lauded the team's dedication, stating, "This 1,000th cargo represents the skill, determination, and commitment of the Cameron LNG team. Achieving this milestone safely and reliably speaks to the strength of our core values of safety and results-based success." His remarks underscore the rigorous operational standards and the unwavering focus on safety that have characterized the facility's journey to this significant benchmark.

Echoing this sentiment, Martin Hupka, President of LNG at Sempra Infrastructure and Chairman of the Cameron LNG Board, extended his congratulations. "On behalf of the Board and all of our partners, I congratulate the Cameron employees on this achievement. Reaching this milestone in just six years is a remarkable accomplishment that reflects the expertise and tireless dedication of the entire team," Hupka commented. He further emphasized the facility's strategic importance, adding, "It's also a powerful demonstration of Cameron LNG's role as a world-class operator helping to meet growing global demand for secure, reliable and sustainable natural gas."

The Cameron LNG facility boasts three liquefaction trains, collectively capable of exporting an impressive 14.95 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), which translates to approximately 772 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year. The facility commenced commercial operations in phases, with Train 1 launching in August 2019, followed by Train 2 in March 2020, and Train 3 in August 2020. This phased approach allowed for a smooth and efficient integration of its full capacity.

Strategically positioned to serve both Atlantic and Pacific markets, Cameron LNG has played a pivotal role in diversifying global energy supplies, delivering U.S. LNG to 37 countries across the world.

Cameron LNG is a joint venture, owned by affiliates of several leading global energy entities: Sempra Infrastructure, TotalEnergies, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and Japan LNG Investment LLC, which itself is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK).
