Cowboy Clean Fuels (CCF), a leading developer of carbon-negative renewable natural gas (RNG), has entered a strategic collaboration with Mangrove Systems, a front-runner in digital measurement, reporting, and verification (dMRV) solutions. The partnership will deploy Mangrove’s advanced dMRV platform across Cowboy's commercial carbon removal and RNG projects in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin. This initiative represents a critical advancement in producing verifiable and high-integrity carbon credits, aligning with the growing expectations of transparency and accountability from carbon credit buyers and investors in the voluntary carbon market.
Cowboy Clean Fuels is expanding its operations following the recent introduction of its BiCRS+RNG methodology and a ten-year RNG offtake agreement with global energy trader Mercuria. By integrating Mangrove’s digital MRV solution into its first commercial-scale project, CCF will enhance its data automation capabilities. This implementation allows real-time operational and environmental data collection, thereby expediting the issuance of both RNG and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits and improving their authenticity and reliability.
