Desert Mountain Energy Inks Deal to Boost Natural Gas Output and Jobs in New Mexico

DME signs deal to expand gas production in New Mexico, spurring job creation, infrastructure growth, and sustainable energy development.

Desert Mountain Energy Corp. (DME) has entered into a significant agreement with Roswell Information Park LLC, marking a major step toward expanding natural gas production and economic activity in New Mexico. Under the terms of the agreement, Roswell Information Park LLC will purchase the entirety of DME’s natural gas output from the West Pecos Field. In addition, it will act as the primary buyer for all gas flowing into the pipeline that serves the Information Park, including volumes not produced by DME. For this management role, DME will receive associated fees, enhancing its revenue streams.

This strategic partnership represents a coordinated effort between DME, Sustany LLC, Roswell Information Park LLC, and various governmental entities at the local, state, and federal levels. Their collaboration aims to stimulate job creation, bolster long-term economic development, and improve critical infrastructure across the region.

One of the central components of the initiative is the construction of the Roswell Information Park, slated to begin in the first quarter of 2026. Initially, the project is expected to generate between 100 and 200 megawatts (MW) of power, with a long-term goal of exceeding 500 MW. The partners are also in active discussions regarding the sale of surplus electricity back into the New Mexico power grid, potentially creating additional economic benefits.

To support the scale and ambition of these developments, DME and its partners are evaluating opportunities to apply for various infrastructure grants at both the state and federal levels. These grants would provide financial support to accelerate project execution and ensure long-term sustainability.

Robert Rohlfing, CEO and Executive Chairman of DME, emphasized the broader impact of the initiative: “The construction of the Roswell Information Park will unlock new revenue avenues for DME and lead to the creation of meaningful employment opportunities throughout New Mexico. These efforts will help drive lasting growth and vital infrastructure improvements across the region.” He also noted DME’s commitment to innovation and sustainability through ongoing collaboration with Sustany LLC to explore the potential of hydrogen resources at the West Pecos Field.

Meanwhile, in Arizona, Sustany LLC is progressing with plans to develop the McCauley Field area. The initiative includes the possible use of DME’s existing land assets to build smaller-scale data centers. These centers are designed to enhance Arizona’s digital infrastructure while maximizing the utility of DME’s property portfolio, thereby contributing to regional economic expansion.
