Gulf Oil launches premium fully synthetic Syntrac motorcycle engine oil at India Bike Week 2025, strengthening its high-performance motorsports-focused brand strategy.

Gulf Oil Lubricants India has unveiled its latest premium motorcycle engine oil, Syntrac, at India Bike Week 2025, held in Panchgani. Recognised as one of Asia’s most prominent motorcycle festivals, the event provided an ideal setting for the brand to introduce a high-end product directly to passionate riders, biking clubs, and performance enthusiasts. The launch also marked Gulf Oil’s third consecutive year as the principal sponsor of India Bike Week, reinforcing its long-standing association with motorsports culture and the two-wheeler community.

The newly launched Syntrac range is positioned as a 100% fully synthetic motorcycle engine oil and represents a step above Gulf’s existing Pride portfolio. Designed for high-performance motorcycles, Syntrac targets riders who expect superior engine protection, consistent performance, and long-lasting durability under demanding riding conditions. The range comprises 11 stock-keeping units (SKUs) spanning popular viscosity grades such as 10W-30, 10W-40, 10W-50, 15W-50, and 20W-50, ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of motorcycles and riding styles, from daily commuting to aggressive sport riding and endurance touring.

Syntrac’s formulation complies with the latest API SP standards and uses advanced ester-based synthetic technology. This enables the oil to maintain stability under extreme operating conditions, including high temperatures, heavy mechanical loads, and sustained high engine revolutions. According to Gulf Oil, the product has been engineered to deliver comprehensive protection for critical motorcycle components, including the engine, gearbox, and wet clutch system. This all-round protection makes Syntrac suitable for stop-start city traffic, long-distance highway rides, and high-speed performance scenarios, where consistent lubrication is essential for reliability and rider confidence.

Beyond the product launch, Gulf Oil used India Bike Week 2025 as an experiential platform to deepen engagement with the biking community. Visitors were treated to live stunt performances by internationally renowned enduro rider Pol Torres, adding an adrenaline-filled motorsport element to the brand’s presence. The company also showcased a motorcycle from the MotoGP Trackhouse Racing Team adorned in Gulf’s iconic racing livery, highlighting its global motorsports partnerships. Additional attractions included interactive product demonstrations, on-site bike servicing zones, and a dedicated Gulf Club Lounge, all designed to create a hands-on and immersive brand experience.

Commenting on the launch, Ravi Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of Gulf Oil Lubricants India, stated that Syntrac underlines the company’s strategic focus on advanced synthetic lubrication solutions for riders who demand high performance and reliability. He also noted that India Bike Week serves as a powerful platform to connect directly with motorcycle enthusiasts, enabling Gulf Oil to better understand rider expectations while showcasing its technological innovations.

Gulf Oil Lubricants India is part of the Hinduja Group and operates in collaboration with Gulf Oil International. The company maintains a robust pan-India distribution network, partners with nearly 50 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), exports products to more than 25 countries, and runs state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities in Silvassa and Ennore. The introduction of Syntrac aligns with Gulf Oil’s broader strategy to expand its premium motorcycle lubricant portfolio, strengthen its high-performance and motorsports-led brand image, and build stronger relationships with riders through experiential marketing and community-driven events.
