Horizon Petroleum is on track for first gas production from its Lachowice 7 (L7) well in southern Poland, with all necessary permits secured for the workover operation.

Horizon Petroleum Ltd. today announced significant progress in its preparations for first gas production from the Lachowice gas development in the Bielsko-Biala concession, southern Poland. Building on a previous update from June 2, 2025, the company confirmed that all critical permits and approvals for the Lachowice 7 (L7) well workover operation have been secured on schedule.

Horizon Petroleum is targeting the first half of 2026 for the commencement of gas/electricity sales and the realization of its first cash flow.

David Winter, CEO of Horizon Petroleum, expressed his satisfaction with the rapid advancement, stating, "We are pleased that all permits and approvals for the L7 workover operation have been received on schedule and we continue to progress in our operations towards first production from the Lachowice 7 well as planned. We look forward to our continuing work with all stakeholders and will update shareholders as the initial development program progresses."

The successful workover of the L7 well is expected to be a pivotal moment for Horizon Petroleum. It will not only provide the company with its inaugural cash flow from gas and/or electrical power sales but will also serve as a crucial long-term test of the production performance of the naturally fractured, Devonian-aged limestone and dolomite reservoirs within the L7 well.

Preparatory work for the L7 workover is moving forward according to the established timeline. A key development is the filing of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Permit for the L7 early production facility with the Ministry of Climate and the Environment.

Furthermore, a significant hurdle has been overcome with the local utility company successfully completing the relocation of the power line that traversed the L7 wellsite. This relocation now grants Horizon full and unobstructed access to the wellsite, enabling the deployment of heavy equipment and the commencement of essential construction work.

In line with its meticulous planning, Horizon Petroleum has already tendered construction bids for the necessary civil works at the L7 wellsite, including surface road access improvements. The company anticipates awarding these contracts before the end of the month, with field works projected to commence in mid-August. This phased approach ensures a systematic and efficient execution of the development plan.
