HydroGraph secured long-term acetylene supply and land agreements to establish a scalable Texas graphene manufacturing facility, strengthening domestic production capacity.

HydroGraph Clean Power Inc. has taken a significant step toward expanding its graphene manufacturing capabilities in the United States by entering into two long-term agreements through its subsidiary, HydroGraph USA Inc., with Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. The agreements provide a secure supply of acetylene gas and a long-term land lease for the development of HydroGraph’s first commercial-scale graphene production facility in Bellville, Texas.

The partnership establishes the foundation for HydroGraph’s planned U.S. manufacturing hub, which aims to strengthen domestic production of advanced graphene materials while enhancing supply chain reliability. Under the acetylene supply agreement, HydroGraph USA will receive a continuous pipeline-based supply of acetylene directly from Western International’s nearby operations. The contract has an initial duration of ten years and includes options for future renewal, ensuring long-term feedstock availability.

Acetylene is a critical raw material used in HydroGraph’s proprietary Hyperion Reactor technology. The reactors employ a continuous production process that converts hydrocarbon feedstocks into ultra-pure synthetic graphene products marketed as Fractal Graphene™. The technology is designed to deliver high carbon purity, consistent material quality, and scalable manufacturing while maintaining operational efficiency.

Alongside the feedstock agreement, HydroGraph has also secured a long-term ground lease for land located within Western International’s Bellville site. The leased property will accommodate HydroGraph’s new commercial graphene manufacturing facility, which will be fully constructed, owned, and operated by HydroGraph USA. By locating the production plant adjacent to Western International’s existing acetylene infrastructure, the company expects to streamline operations, reduce transportation requirements, improve supply reliability, and lower logistical risks.

The integrated facility will benefit from Western International’s extensive acetylene production, storage, transportation, and distribution network. A dedicated pipeline connection will deliver feedstock directly into HydroGraph’s manufacturing process, enabling continuous operations while supporting safety and operational efficiency. The arrangement also minimizes dependence on external transportation and strengthens the resilience of the production supply chain.

HydroGraph believes the project represents an important milestone in meeting increasing demand for premium-quality graphene materials from industrial customers as well as government-supported initiatives focused on advanced materials and next-generation technologies. Western International’s position as one of the largest acetylene suppliers in the U.S. wholesale market makes it a strategic partner capable of supporting HydroGraph’s long-term production goals through its established infrastructure and operational expertise.

The Bellville facility will manufacture HydroGraph’s flagship Fractal Graphene™, a material recognized for its exceptionally high carbon purity of approximately 99.8%, consistent fractal structure, and reliable batch-to-batch performance. These characteristics make the product suitable for a broad range of applications, including advanced composites, protective coatings, energy storage technologies, and other high-performance industrial sectors where material consistency is essential.

HydroGraph’s modular Hyperion Reactor platform has been developed to support flexible capacity expansion. Each reactor is capable of producing approximately 10 metric tons of graphene annually and can be manufactured within a relatively short timeframe while requiring comparatively low capital investment. This modular approach allows production capacity to expand incrementally in response to evolving customer demand, improving capital utilization and reducing the risks associated with large upfront investments.

Construction of the Bellville manufacturing facility is expected to begin after the completion of permitting procedures and site preparation activities. The company is targeting the first half of 2027 for the facility’s commissioning. Current project plans call for an initial 40,000-square-foot manufacturing complex with an estimated construction cost of approximately US$5–6 million. Once fully equipped with Hyperion Reactors, the site is expected to achieve production capacity of up to 360 metric tons of graphene annually.

The facility has also been designed with future expansion in mind. HydroGraph anticipates increasing the covered operational area to approximately 80,000 square feet over time, allowing annual production capacity to exceed 750 metric tons as market demand grows. The initial installation is expected to include six Hyperion Reactors at an estimated investment of around US$2 million, with additional reactors planned for future expansion. To accelerate deployment, the company intends to collaborate with third-party manufacturers to produce reactor systems in larger volumes and shorten installation timelines.

In parallel with the Bellville project, HydroGraph is installing three Hyperion Reactors at its recently established headquarters in Austin, Texas. These reactors will primarily support product development and process optimization while also providing an estimated combined production capacity of up to 30 metric tons annually beginning in September 2026 following completion of infrastructure upgrades, including acetylene storage enhancements.

Overall, the Bellville agreements reinforce HydroGraph’s broader strategy of expanding domestic advanced materials manufacturing within the United States. By combining long-term feedstock security, dedicated infrastructure, scalable production technology, and expansion-ready facilities, the company aims to establish a reliable domestic graphene supply chain capable of supporting growing demand across multiple high-value industrial markets.

Impact on Product and Chemical Commodity Prices

The Bellville facility is expected to significantly expand the availability of high-purity graphene in North America, supporting industries such as energy storage, coatings, composites, electronics, and advanced manufacturing. As production scales, graphene adoption could accelerate due to improved supply reliability and reduced domestic sourcing risks.
