Klean Industries Inc. has announced a strategic collaboration with AmmPower Corp. to develop containerized systems for the production of green ammonia, a move that could significantly impact the clean fuel and fertilizer supply chains across North America.

The partnership follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Klean, a Vancouver-based leader in clean energy and resource recovery from waste, and AmmPower, a distributed ammonia production technology company listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE: AMMP), OTCQB (AMMPF), and Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Under the agreement, both companies aim to explore and advance applications for AmmPower’s fully containerized, modular ammonia production units. These systems utilize renewable energy and atmospheric nitrogen to synthesize green ammonia (NH3), a carbon-free fuel and hydrogen carrier. The compact, scalable design of these units makes them well-suited for decentralized deployment in agricultural, industrial, and cooperative settings.

Each IAMM (Independent Ammonia Making Machine) unit, developed by AmmPower, is capable of producing up to four metric tons of high-purity anhydrous ammonia daily. The units employ the well-established Haber-Bosch process and integrate AmmPower’s patented reactor technology, enabling reliable small-scale green ammonia production using renewable energy sources.

Klean Industries sees the partnership as an opportunity to further its mission of building circular, sustainable solutions in the mobility and clean energy sectors. “Over the last three years, Klean has expanded its network of technology partners to create new pathways for circular solutions,” said Jesse Klinkhamer, CEO of Klean Industries. “Working with leaders like AmmPower allows us to accelerate the adoption of alternative green fuels on a scalable level.”

The collaboration is expected to support the development of renewable ammonia hubs that can produce, store, and distribute green ammonia for a variety of uses, including transportation, power generation, and fertilizer production.

Dr. Gary Benninger, CEO of AmmPower, echoed the enthusiasm for the project. “We are excited to collaborate with Klean Industries in creating new applications for our IAMM technology,” he said. “This partnership furthers our goal of bringing decentralized, economically viable green ammonia production closer to the end user.”

By combining expertise in clean energy systems and innovative ammonia technology, Klean and AmmPower aim to transform how green ammonia is produced and delivered, potentially reshaping sustainable energy infrastructure across key markets.

AmmPower Corp. is a clean energy company specializing in the production of green ammonia, which serves as a sustainable fertilizer, fuel, and energy transport medium. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, the company operates a dedicated research and manufacturing facility in Southeast Michigan.
