In April xxxx, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) prices experienced a bearish price trend in the major market. Low feedstock market prices and supply-demand pattern mainly shaped the PET price trend.
In the US market, PET prices notice a significant decline during the third week of the month following the stable trend in the early two weeks. Weaker production costs and the higher imports at the cheap prices drove the US PET prices downward. In the domestic market, feedstock MEG prices declined by x.xx coupled with the weaker feedstock Ethylene Oxide prices. Additionally, the resumption of operations at the manufacturing units including Formosa Plastics Corporation and Nan Ya Plastics Corporation added to supply availability.
