Radco Industries launched Radcolube C937-4, a MIL-qualified biodegradable aerospace cleaner offering high-performance cleaning for military and commercial aircraft.

Radco Industries, LLC has expanded its aerospace maintenance portfolio with the launch of RADCOLUBE® C937-4, a heavy-duty, water-dilutable aerospace cleaning compound that has achieved full qualification under MIL-PRF-87937E, Type IV. The new product has been developed to meet the demanding cleaning requirements of both military and commercial aviation sectors while supporting environmentally responsible maintenance practices.

RADCOLUBE® C937-4 is engineered to remove a broad range of contaminants commonly found during aircraft operations, including dirt, grease, lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids, and other stubborn residues. Despite its powerful cleaning capability, the formulation is designed to protect sensitive aircraft materials such as painted surfaces, composite structures, elastomers, and sealants, reducing the risk of surface degradation during routine maintenance.

One of the key advantages of the product is its compliance with the MIL-PRF-87937E Type IV military specification, demonstrating that it meets stringent standards for safety, effectiveness, and operational reliability. The cleaner is suitable for use on aircraft exteriors, aerospace ground equipment (AGE), and AGE engines, making it a versatile solution for maintenance crews operating across a wide range of aerospace platforms.

The formulation features a water-dilutable design, allowing maintenance teams to prepare cleaning solutions at economical mixing ratios while simplifying handling in field operations. In addition, the product is biodegradable and formulated with a mild pH, reflecting Radco Industries' commitment to minimizing environmental impact without compromising cleaning performance. These characteristics align with the growing aerospace industry's focus on sustainable maintenance products and regulatory compliance.

RADCOLUBE® C937-4 supports multiple application methods, including spray systems, brushes, cleaning pads, wipes, and immersion cleaning, enabling flexibility based on operational requirements and contamination levels. During use, maintenance personnel are advised to apply the cleaner according to established maintenance procedures, allow sufficient dwell time, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and inspect the cleaned surface before repeating the process if required.

The product is immediately available through Radco Industries and its authorized distributors. Customers can purchase it in three packaging formats, including 1-gallon containers, 5-gallon pails, and 55-gallon drums, making it suitable for both small-scale maintenance operations and large industrial users. National Stock Numbers (NSNs) have also been assigned for each packaging option, facilitating procurement for military and government organizations.

With the introduction of RADCOLUBE® C937-4, Radco Industries strengthens its aerospace maintenance product lineup by providing a high-performance, environmentally conscious cleaning solution that meets the rigorous demands of modern aviation maintenance.

Impact on Product and Chemical Commodity Prices

The launch of RADCOLUBE® C937-4 is expected to strengthen demand for specialty aerospace cleaning chemicals, biodegradable surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, specialty solvents, pH modifiers, and performance additives used in environmentally compliant formulations. However, as this is a product launch rather than a large-scale capacity expansion, its immediate effect on global chemical demand will remain limited. For chemical commodities tracked by ChemAnalyst, including specialty surfactants, glycol ethers, chelating agents, and cleaning additives, price movements are expected to remain largely stable in the near term. Over the longer term, increasing adoption of sustainable aerospace maintenance products could gradually support demand and provide modest upward pricing momentum for specialty chemical ingredients.
