Surya Oil & Gas Corp. has recommenced field operations in West Virginia, leveraging proprietary Kubera technology to optimize production and prepare for future drilling.
Surya Oil & Gas Corp. (SOGC), formerly Cunningham Natural Resources Corp., announced the immediate recommencement of field operations across its expansive 38,000-acre core acreage in West Virginia. This strategic move signals a renewed focus on optimizing existing assets and laying the groundwork for future expansion, driven by innovative technology and a commitment to enhanced corporate governance.
Initial efforts are concentrated on critical road and site development, essential for maximizing output from current oil wells and preparing for an ambitious future drilling program. A key element of SOGC’s renewed operational strategy is the implementation of Kubera™ technology — a proprietary subsurface imaging solution developed by Surya Energy Services, LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Aruna Holdings LLC.
Kubera™ technology is poised to be a game-changer for SOGC, enabling the high-precision identification of previously untapped Hydrocarbon zones within mature fields. This advanced capability is expected to significantly enhance recovery rates, while simultaneously reducing environmental impact and minimizing surface disruption – a critical advantage in today's increasingly environmentally conscious energy landscape.
In a major step to strengthen its position in the financial markets, SOGC announced its transition from the OTC Pink Current to the OTCIQ Basic Market, effective July 1, 2025. The OTCID Tier imposes more rigorous requirements, including timely financial disclosures, annual management certification, and ongoing compliance. This provides investors with a more transparent and reliable platform, marking a crucial step for SOGC as it strategically positions itself for potential uplisting opportunities in 2026.
To further broaden its market visibility and engage with a wider investor base, SOGC has partnered with Harbor Access, a renowned strategic investor relations firm with a proven track record of working with high-growth and international issuers.
Hemal Rathod, Chief Executive Officer of Surya Oil & Gas Corp., expressed his enthusiasm regarding these developments: "Today's site mobilization and the deployment of Kubera™ technology to identify previously overlooked zones with strong production potential across our mature fields marks a major milestone for us. This technology-driven approach is expected to deliver a meaningful uplift in both recovery rates and operating efficiency. By focusing on targeted well work and infrastructure upgrades, we're increasing current output and positioning Surya Oil & Gas for long-term, sustainable growth, efforts that will also strengthen our balance sheet and support the next phase of our development." Rathod's comments underscore the company's confidence in its technological advantage and its integrated approach to achieving operational excellence and financial robustness.
