TechnipFMC has won two major subsea contracts from Petrobras for Brazil's pre-salt fields. The first contract focuses on the design, engineering, and manufacturing of riser flexible pipe, complemented by associated services such as packing and storage. This substantial award emphasizes TechnipFMC's capabilities in flexible pipe technology.

The second contract, awarded after a competitive tender process, involves designing, engineering, and manufacturing subsea production systems for deployment in the Atapu 2, Sepia 2, and Roncador projects. This contract also includes installation support and life-of-field services, along with an option for additional equipment and services, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle.

All equipment and products will be produced and serviced locally, leveraging TechnipFMC’s key strengths in Brazil that are essential for the continued development of the country's pre-salt reserves.

Jonathan Landes, President of Subsea at TechnipFMC, emphasized that these awards reaffirm the company’s leadership in flexible pipe technology and highlight the effectiveness of their standardized equipment platform, which has been successfully utilized in the Buzios 6-9 fields for Petrobras.

Landes remarked on TechnipFMC's nearly 70-year legacy in Brazil, illustrating the company's strong commitment to the region and its continuous support for Petrobras's strategic goals. He noted that the company will leverage its extensive in-country operations to fulfill the requirements of these contracts, ensuring efficient execution and local engagement.

This partnership underscores the importance of local manufacturing and service capabilities in supporting Brazil's ambitious energy projects, particularly in the pre-salt regions that are critical to the country’s oil production strategy. TechnipFMC's established presence and expertise position it well to contribute significantly to the successful execution of these contracts, enhancing Petrobras’s operations and advancing the development of Brazil's offshore resources. Overall, these contracts reflect a strategic alliance aimed at fostering innovation and sustainability in Brazil's energy sector.
