TenEx Technologies joins Chevron’s Catalyst Program, advancing sustainable chemical solutions to boost production, efficiency, equipment longevity, and environmental responsibility.
TenEx Technologies, an innovator in patented materials-based completion and production chemical solutions for the oil and gas sector, has announced its selection to participate in Chevron Technology Ventures’ (CTV) Catalyst Program™. The initiative is designed to foster and accelerate early-stage companies developing transformative technologies with the potential to advance the global energy landscape.
This achievement arrives at a significant juncture for the industry. Operators today face the challenge of maintaining capital discipline while pursuing productivity gains and cost efficiencies. Simultaneously, the U.S. energy sector remains focused on achieving security and maintaining its global leadership role. Against this backdrop, TenEx’s specialized chemistry solutions are engineered to enable producers to extract more hydrocarbons from both newly completed wells and mature fields. The result is increased reserves, reduced cost per barrel of oil equivalent (BOE), and stronger environmental performance—all in alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
Miguel Peña, CEO of TenEx Technologies, emphasized the importance of this milestone: “We are honored to be chosen by Chevron Technology Ventures for the Catalyst Program. This marks a significant advancement in our mission to support producers with innovative, sustainable chemistry solutions. As the industry transitions from a growth-driven model to one that prioritizes efficiency, our portfolio provides operators with the tools to increase production, extend the life cycle of vital equipment, and reduce environmental impacts, while also driving improved returns on investment.”
Innovative Chemical Solutions for Energy Efficiency
TenEx’s technology suite addresses some of the most persistent technical and operational challenges in the oil and gas industry:
• MicroHOLD® – Applied across thousands of stages in North America, this solution enhances formation breakdown, mitigates screen-out risk, shortens pumping times, and improves long-term production performance.
• FullStim™ – A tailored suite of production chemistries designed to extend pump and equipment life, lower intervention costs, and generate incremental output from existing wells. With its focus on safeguarding critical infrastructure, FullStim™ lowers total ownership costs by lengthening the operational life of both downhole assets and surface pumping systems.
• SandBOND™ – A next-generation solution aimed at addressing the costly challenges of sand production and flowback, particularly in horizontal wells.
Importantly, most of TenEx’s offerings are water-based, reducing or fully eliminating the use of hazardous substances such as acids and solvents.
Amr Radwan, Co-Founder and CTO of TenEx, highlighted the results: “Data from thousands of wells across multiple basins proves that environmental responsibility and operational excellence can go hand in hand.”
Strategic Synergy with Chevron Technology Ventures
Through the Catalyst Program, TenEx gains a structured pathway to accelerate the deployment of its technologies to market. Peña further noted, “This collaboration enhances our ability to deliver meaningful contributions to U.S. energy security and operational excellence on a global scale.”
With its inclusion in the Catalyst Program, TenEx Technologies strengthens its role as a forward-thinking solutions provider, delivering cutting-edge chemistry designed to improve efficiency, sustainability, and profitability for the evolving energy sector.
