TotalEnergies partners with Emerson to deploy real-time data and AI solutions, enhancing industrial efficiency, sustainability, safety, and digital transformation.

TotalEnergies has entered into a strategic collaboration with Emerson’s Aspen Technology business to unlock the full potential of industrial data through advanced digital solutions. This partnership aims to enhance the collection, management, and analysis of real-time operational data across TotalEnergies’ global network of industrial sites. Central to this initiative is the deployment of Emerson’s AspenTech Inmation™, a cutting-edge industrial data fabric designed to streamline and centralize data from various assets, enabling real-time access and actionable insights.

The collaboration underscores TotalEnergies’ commitment to integrating digital innovation into its operations as part of its broader strategy to become a more sustainable and efficient energy producer. The partnership will support improvements in operational efficiency, energy usage, environmental performance, and safety while also enabling the company to scale artificial intelligence (AI) applications across its facilities.

Over the next two years, TotalEnergies will implement the AspenTech Inmation™ platform across its industrial operations worldwide. This digital infrastructure will allow the company to continuously capture and unify millions of data points from its sites. The centralized data ecosystem ensures that reliable and secure data is readily available to relevant stakeholders across the organization, thereby improving decision-making capabilities and responsiveness.

In addition to the industrial data fabric, the collaboration incorporates Emerson’s advanced process control systems. These tools, combined with AI-driven analytics, will enable TotalEnergies to:

             Detect equipment anomalies and performance deterioration earlier;

             Reduce energy consumption more efficiently;

             Enhance workplace safety;

             Accelerate the adoption and integration of AI into operational workflows.

The strategic partnership reflects TotalEnergies’ belief in digital transformation as a core enabler of its energy transition goals. Namita Shah, President of OneTech at TotalEnergies, highlighted that digital technologies are key to achieving industrial excellence. She emphasized that the collaboration with Emerson signifies the company's intent to make data and digitalization central to improving operational performance and reducing its environmental footprint.

“Our partnership with Emerson shows how technologies like AspenTech Inmation™ can significantly improve operations, reduce emissions, and deliver lasting value. We’re committed to making data and digital innovation integral to how our facilities perform,” Shah stated.

Vincent Servello, President of Emerson’s Aspen Technology division, echoed these sentiments. “Our longstanding relationship with TotalEnergies spans nearly three decades, and we’re proud to support their evolving operational and sustainability goals. The powerful combination of AI with our data solutions will play a pivotal role in helping TotalEnergies accelerate its digital transformation and meet its mission,” Servello said.

This collaboration marks another milestone in TotalEnergies’ broader digitalization efforts, reinforcing its pursuit of cleaner, safer, and more efficient energy production through cutting-edge innovation.
