The Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (Permitting Council) today announced the inclusion of a second set of key projects on the Federal Permitting Dashboard as FAST-41 transparency initiatives. This latest development follows President Trump’s Executive Order, "Immediate Measures to Increase American Mineral Production," and underscores the administration's commitment to securing a reliable domestic supply of strategically important minerals.

This second tranche of projects, submitted by the chair of the National Energy Dominance Council (NEDC), builds upon the initial group of ten projects added to the dashboard on April 18, 2025. The ongoing inclusion of these critical mineral ventures reflects a sustained effort to leverage the transparency mechanisms of FAST-41 to streamline the environmental review and authorization processes.

Manisha Patel, Acting Executive Director of the Permitting Council, emphasized the significance of this expansion, stating, "The Permitting Council is excited to grow our portfolio of critical mineral production projects with this latest tranche. The transparency that these projects will receive as a result of being featured on the Federal Permitting Dashboard will be transformative, allowing stakeholders across government and industry the ability to track the progress of these projects, ensuring a level of accountability in environmental review that is often missing from the traditional process."

The addition of these projects to the Permitting Dashboard ensures that the environmental review and authorization schedules for these vital mineral production endeavors are publicly accessible. This increased transparency offers numerous benefits, allowing project sponsors, community members, and federal agency leaders to maintain an up-to-date understanding of each project's status within the regulatory framework. This public accountability is expected to foster a more efficient and predictable permitting process.

The newly added projects include a diverse range of critical mineral initiatives:

             NorthMet

             La Jara Mesa

             Roca Honda

             Greens Creek Surface Exploration

             Stillwater Mine

             Polaris Mine

             Becky’s Mine Modification

             3PL Railroad Valley Exploration

             Grassy Mountain Mine

             Amelia A&B

These projects produce gold, silver, copper, nickel, cobalt, platinum, palladium, zinc, lead, uranium, lithium and metallurgical coal (used in steel production).

This list complements the initial set of ten projects announced last month, signaling a continuous pipeline of critical mineral projects receiving enhanced scrutiny and transparency through the FAST-41 framework. The Permitting Council anticipates further project announcements in the coming weeks, demonstrating a sustained momentum in this crucial sector.

The Permitting Council reiterated its dedication to collaborating closely with the National Energy Dominance Council and other federal partners to advance President Trump’s agenda of American energy dominance and to strategically develop essential infrastructure.
