UBE Expands U-BE-INFINITY Line with Bio-Circular Caprolactam and Recycled Nylon

UBE expands its U-BE-INFINITY brand with bio-circular caprolactam and recycled nylon to support circular economy and carbon neutrality.

UBE Corporation has expanded its environmentally friendly U-BE-INFINITY brand by certifying two new sustainable products. This marks the second product lineup introduced under the U-BE-INFINITY brand, reinforcing the company’s commitment to addressing global environmental challenges through innovative material solutions. The newly certified products include bio-circular caprolactam, produced and sold by UBE Corporation Europe S.A.U., and recycled composite nylon—specifically, DINALON® A2X25-MI H-4109 (polyamide 66) and B2E25 G20DI-4115 (polyamide 6)—manufactured and marketed by UBE Composites Europe S.L.U.

The U-BE-INFINITY label is awarded to products that are either in development or already developed within the UBE Group and demonstrate particularly strong environmental benefits. These products are selected based on their potential to contribute to global sustainability, enhance the value of environmentally sound technologies, and support the company’s broader mission of solving pressing environmental issues.

The first of the two newly certified products, bio-circular caprolactam, is made using biomass-derived raw materials through the mass balance approach and has been officially certified by ISCC PLUS. It is developed with careful consideration of sustainable sourcing practices and has already achieved sales in the market. By supplying this caprolactam, UBE actively supports the transition to a circular economy and advances decarbonization efforts. Its use of renewable inputs and compliance with third-party sustainability certification standards exemplify the company’s dedication to creating low-carbon, high-performance materials.

The second product, recycled composite nylon, is developed using post-industrial recycled (PIR) materials. These nylons are part of UBE Composites Europe’s engineering plastics portfolio and are verified under the UNE-EN15343 standard by AENOR, which ensures the traceability and accuracy of the recycled content from raw material to finished product. This verification ensures transparency in production and guarantees the environmental integrity of the final materials.

Both products align with UBE Group’s strategic focus on three major environmental priorities: combating climate change through carbon neutrality, advancing the circular economy, and fostering nature positivity. By expanding its lineup of U-BE-INFINITY brand products, UBE aims to offer sustainable solutions to a broader range of industries and customers. The initiative reflects the company’s vision for 2030, which aspires to establish UBE as a leading specialty chemical firm that contributes to the global environment, human health, and a more prosperous future society.

Through continued innovation in sustainable materials and active engagement in responsible production practices, UBE continues to strengthen its leadership in the development of environmentally friendly technologies on a global scale.
