US Maleic Anhydride prices are expected to remain under pressure in September, following sustained weakness through July and late August. In July, prices declined sharply as abundant hydrocarbon feedstocks, high producer operating rates, and weak construction-related demand encouraged sellers to lower offers. The market remained subdued through early August as buyers continued hand-to-mouth procurement and inventories limited restocking. By late August, prices weakened further as ample n-butane and NGL availability coincided with muted downstream orders and terminal inventory overhangs. For September, Maleic Anhydride prices are forecast to decline by around 1.5%, with favorable feedstock economics expected to maintain pressure on producer margins and selling strategies. Weak construction activity, cautious composite procurement, and limited distributor restocking are likely to restrain demand, while steady lubricant-additive consumption provides only baseline support. Competitive import flows could further limit recovery. However, seasonal restocking or unexpected logistics disruptions may provide temporary support, with gradual stabilization expected later in the autumn.

US Maleic Anhydride prices are expected to remain under pressure in September as abundant feedstock availability, high producer operating rates, and subdued downstream demand continue to outweigh intermittent logistical support. After a pronounced decline through July and renewed weakness toward the end of August, the Maleic Anhydride market is likely to experience further modest easing before gradually stabilizing later in the autumn. Buyers are expected to maintain hand-to-mouth procurement, while producers face limited scope to pass through higher costs amid weak construction-related consumption.

In July, Maleic Anhydride values fell sharply to USD *,***.**/MT from USD *,***.**/MT as oversupply and cautious downstream purchasing pressured seller offers. Construction and residential composite demand remained weak, while steady unsaturated polyester resin and coatings consumption provided only routine support. Automotive lubricant additive demand was stable but generated little incremental volume, while industrial and distribution procurement remained subdued. The Maleic...
