Zeeco strengthens its U.S. midstream oil and gas capabilities by acquiring Devco Process Heaters, expanding services, technology expertise, and delivery efficiency.

Zeeco, Inc., a globally recognized provider of advanced combustion, emissions control, and environmental technologies, has officially completed the acquisition of Devco Process Heaters, a Tulsa-based specialist in fired-heater design and process heating technology. This strategic move significantly enhances Zeeco’s footprint and technical depth within the United States midstream oil and gas sector, while also broadening its ability to serve customers across a wide range of industrial markets.

With the integration of Devco Process Heaters, Zeeco is strengthening its ambition to function as a truly comprehensive, single-source supplier for combustion and process heating solutions. Beyond supplying advanced combustion equipment, the company now offers expanded services that include installation support, construction capabilities, field services, and long-term aftermarket solutions. These services are further supported by Zeeco’s extensive network of company-owned, industry-leading manufacturing facilities, enabling faster project execution, improved quality control, and cost-effective delivery of end-to-end solutions.

The acquisition includes the Devco Heaters brand, its existing product portfolio, and decades of specialized technical expertise. All former Devco employees have been retained and transitioned into new or expanded roles within Zeeco, ensuring continuity for customers and preservation of critical institutional knowledge. This includes Devco’s owner, Jeff Hutsell, who has joined Zeeco to support ongoing operations and contribute to future growth initiatives.

Commenting on the acquisition, Darton Zink, President and Chief Executive Officer of Zeeco, described the transaction as a major milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy. He noted that the addition of Devco’s capabilities significantly enhances Zeeco’s midstream offering, allowing the company to deliver a more complete portfolio of equipment and services. According to Zink, this expanded capability translates into greater efficiency, improved reliability, and increased overall value for Zeeco’s customers.

Founded more than two decades ago, Devco Process Heaters has built a strong reputation for engineering and manufacturing high-performance direct-fired and indirect-fired heaters, along with thermal oxidizers, electric heater packages, and a range of auxiliary equipment. Its technologies have been deployed across multiple sectors, including midstream oil and gas, petrochemical processing, aircraft testing laboratories, food processing, and other specialized industrial applications. The company’s engineering-driven approach and custom-designed systems complement Zeeco’s existing strengths in combustion and emissions control.

Reflecting on the transition, Hutsell expressed enthusiasm about Devco’s future as part of Zeeco. He stated that joining forces with Zeeco provides an opportunity to scale Devco’s technologies globally while maintaining the customer-focused mindset that has defined the company since its inception. He also highlighted confidence in Zeeco’s leadership, workforce, and organizational culture, noting that the combined capabilities of both companies are well positioned to deliver long-term value to customers worldwide.

The acquisition was officially completed on December 5, 2025, marking the beginning of a new phase of growth and collaboration for both organizations.
