Zeeco, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Applicot Corporation, marking a significant step in the company’s strategy to deepen its global footprint and reinforce its position in the Japanese market. Zeeco, widely recognized for its expertise in advanced combustion and environmental solutions, views the acquisition as a strategic opportunity to enhance its local capabilities while leveraging its extensive global resources.
Applicot has been closely associated with Zeeco for more than 35 years, operating as an official licensee and representing the company’s technologies in Japan. Over the decades, Applicot has built a solid reputation in the domestic market, particularly in the field of flare systems and combustion-related solutions. By bringing Applicot fully under its corporate structure, Zeeco is integrating a long-standing partner with proven market credibility into its global organization.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Zeeco’s support for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) customers across Japan and the broader region. With Applicot’s established relationships, local expertise, and understanding of Japanese regulatory and operational requirements, Zeeco will be better positioned to deliver tailored solutions to meet the needs of industrial clients. At the same time, Applicot will gain direct access to Zeeco’s global manufacturing network, research and development capabilities, and portfolio of advanced combustion and environmental technologies.
Darton Zink, President and CEO of Zeeco, described the acquisition as a milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy. He emphasized that incorporating Applicot into the Zeeco organization reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering localized technical support backed by global innovation and infrastructure. According to Zink, customers in Japan will benefit from enhanced service capabilities, faster response times, and expanded access to Zeeco’s comprehensive solutions portfolio.
Historically, Applicot’s primary focus has been on flare systems, serving industries that require reliable and compliant combustion technologies. Moving forward, Zeeco intends to broaden Applicot’s scope of operations. The company plans to introduce a wider array of combustion equipment and environmental solutions, enabling Applicot to address diverse customer requirements across multiple sectors, including energy, petrochemicals, and industrial manufacturing. The transaction was officially completed on January 13, 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter for both organizations as they align their strengths to deliver enhanced combustion and environmental solutions in the Japanese market.
