This demonstrates the growing cross-sector demand for cost-effective, immediate solutions to decarbonize operations.
The new agreements for RNG supply, which also include operations, maintenance, and construction of fueling infrastructure, underscore the increasing momentum for this ultraclean fuel. Clean Energy's Senior Vice President, Chad Lindholm, commented that RNG "continues to stand out as a proven, economical and scalable solution that is ready now," offering sustainability benefits "at a significant discount to diesel."
Key RNG agreements highlight a versatile array of industries making the transition:
	•             Dairy and Heavy-Duty Hauling: United Dairymen of Arizona signed a fueling deal for 200,000 gallons of RNG to supply five fleets, many operating the new Cummins X15N natural gas engine. Paper Transport, a long-time partner, renewed and expanded its commitment, accounting for approximately 250,000 gallons of RNG annually for its new truck additions.
	•             Waste Management: USA Hauling & Recycling renewed its contract for a substantial 2.5 million gallons of RNG annually to fuel 150 refuse vehicles and third-party fleets. The partnership also includes the construction of their fifth private time-fill station. Similarly, Ecotech Waste Logistics committed to approximately 300,000 gallons of RNG annually for its 30-vehicle fleet. Republic Services continues its portfolio growth with new station builds and major upgrades in Colorado and Nevada to support an expanding fleet of RNG trucks.
	•             Shuttle and Logistics: The Atlantic City Jitney Association extended its 15-year partnership with a new RNG supply and station upgrade deal, supporting 125 new RNG shuttle buses with an estimated 300,000 gallons annually. Vestis, a national uniform company, will fuel 12 medium-duty trucks in Texas and California with RNG.
	•             Fueling Stations: Giant Oil and Birkmire Trucking both entered into new RNG supply deals, securing 180,000 gallons and 100,000 gallons of RNG annually, respectively, for their Pennsylvania and New York operations.
Beyond transportation, Clean Energy also reported significant growth in its bulk Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) customer base, securing contracts with cutting-edge space and energy companies.
	•             Astrobotic, a space exploration company developing lunar landers and rovers, signed a bulk LNG fueling agreement for 100,000 gallons to support its spacecraft systems operations.
	•             Stoke Space, specializing in reusable rockets, entered into a new deal for 120,000 gallons of high-purity LNG, a fuel crucial for accurate and effective rocket engine testing.
	•             Apollo Energy Resources, a power generation company, signed an agreement for 480,000 gallons of bulk LNG to support the transportation of critical materials for advanced energy solutions.
Clean Energy currently owns and operates two LNG plants in California and Texas, servicing customers across marine, energy exploration, and now, a growing number of space exploration firms. The diverse nature of these new contracts signals a robust, multi-sector push towards cleaner fuel alternatives.
