FMC introduces Tremisia® in Ukraine, expanding fluindapyr technology to EMEA to support disease control in vital export crops.

FMC Corporation (NYSE: FMC), a global leader in agricultural sciences, has announced the regulatory approval of its new Tremisia® fungicide in Ukraine, representing the debut of its innovative fluindapyr technology in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This milestone marks a significant expansion for the company, targeting a strategically important agricultural market. The approval will enable Ukrainian growers to use the fungicide on oilseed rape, sunflower, and wheat—crops that collectively span more than 10 million hectares of farmland in the country.

FMC’s introduction of Tremisia® in Ukraine is seen as a pivotal moment in its regional growth strategy. “This registration advances the commercialization of FMC's novel fluindapyr fungicide technology,” said Sebastià Pons, Vice President and President of FMC EMEA. “Ukraine is among the world’s top exporters of sunflower, oilseed rape, and wheat, and this market is vital to ensuring global food security. With the introduction of Tremisia®, we’re bringing our most advanced disease control technology to Ukrainian farmers and reinforcing our commitment to agricultural innovation and sustainability.”

Tremisia® fungicide features a proprietary formulation that combines FMC’s fluindapyr molecule with flutriafol. This dual mode of action offers extended protection and is specifically designed to target a wide spectrum of economically significant fungal diseases. For sunflowers, it is effective against Alternaria and Sclerotinia, while in wheat, it protects against Septoria and rust—diseases that commonly threaten yields and reduce crop quality.

Nataliia Savchenko, Country Leader of FMC Ukraine, emphasized the fungicide's potential impact on local agriculture. “This registration addresses a longstanding gap in disease management tools available to Ukrainian growers,” she stated. “With rising disease pressures caused by intensive farming practices and climate variability, there’s a growing need for effective, reliable fungicide solutions. Tremisia® will offer farmers a high-performing option that integrates seamlessly into existing crop protection programs and provides robust, long-lasting results.”

The Ukrainian approval builds upon FMC’s global success in introducing fluindapyr-based technologies. These products have already been commercialized in key markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay, South Korea, and the United States. Earlier this year, FMC also received conditional approval for the technology in the Philippines. The company has additional launches planned, pending regulatory approvals, in countries including Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, and India.

With the launch of Tremisia® in Ukraine, FMC continues its strategic push to expand access to cutting-edge crop protection technologies globally. The approval not only strengthens FMC’s footprint in the EMEA region but also highlights its ongoing dedication to empowering farmers through science-driven solutions that promote sustainable, productive agriculture.
