Greenply Industries Limited has introduced TermiVax, a breakthrough plywood technology that the company describes as one of India’s first vaccinated anti-termite plywood solutions powered by advanced nanotechnology. The company has also filed a patent application for the innovation, which is designed to provide long-lasting termite protection by integrating the treatment directly into the plywood during manufacturing.
Unlike conventional anti-termite solutions that rely on surface coatings or chemical applications after installation, TermiVax uses a nanotechnology-based compound that penetrates deep into the plywood structure. This ensures protection extends throughout the panel rather than remaining limited to the outer surface. According to Greenply, the technology delivers lifetime resistance against termite attacks, particularly under damp and humid conditions where infestations become more common during the monsoon season.
Traditional anti-termite coatings often lose effectiveness over time because of cutting, drilling, moisture exposure, and regular wear and tear. As a result, untreated sections may become vulnerable after installation. Greenply stated that embedding the protective technology into the plywood itself overcomes these limitations by safeguarding every layer of the panel, providing a more durable and reliable solution for furniture and interior applications.
The company believes this innovation addresses one of the most persistent challenges faced by homeowners, builders, and interior designers. TermiVax has undergone testing and received approval from the Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI), reinforcing confidence in its performance and quality standards.

Greenply will make the new technology available across its major plywood portfolio, including Greenply Marine 710, Greenply Gold, Greenply Platinum, Greenply Club 500, and Greenply Club 700.
