Europe: HyCC has made a major move towards renewable energy in the Netherlands with the announcement of their collaboration with Kraftanlagen Energies & Services and Nel. The companies have been contracted for HyCC's H2eron project, which aims to provide clean, green Hydrogen fuel to the Netherlands. This exciting new project is sure to be a great step forward in terms of renewable energy.
Kraftanlagen, a German engineering company, has been chosen to handle the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the Hydrogen plant in Delfzijl Netherlands. HyCC has placed an order with Nel, who will be supplying the electrolysis stacks. The H2eron plant is estimated to have a capacity of 40MW and is gearing up to produce its first Hydrogen in 2026. This impressive facility is situated near the German border in the northeast of Holland.
SkyNRG is set to take a major step forward in the sustainable energy industry with the announcement of their upcoming atmospheric alkaline electrolyzer. Powered by renewable energy and water, this electrolyzer will produce Hydrogen that can be used to manufacture sustainable aviation fuel. Having already secured an environmental permit, the project is on track for a final investment decision in 2024.
The Netherlands have announced their National Climate Agreement, aiming to generate 3-4GW of renewable Hydrogen production capacity by the year 2030. Additionally, the Netherlands are looking to forge international partnerships to import Hydrogen or Hydrogen carriers such as Ammonia into their ports for eventual distribution to industrial clusters. The focus on supplying an efficient and eco-friendly energy source is in line with the country's dedication to creating a better future for its people.
