HydrogenPro partners with Thermax to localise alkaline electrolysis technology, enabling large-scale green hydrogen solutions and accelerating India’s industrial decarbonisation efforts.
HydrogenPro ASA, a global leader in green hydrogen technology and systems, has announced a strategic collaboration with Thermax Limited, a prominent energy and environment solutions provider in India and a trusted partner in the nation’s energy transition journey. The agreement grants Thermax exclusive rights in India to supply, install, commission, and provide after-sales services for alkaline electrolyser systems based on HydrogenPro’s advanced technology. The partnership, which takes effect immediately, also covers ongoing and upcoming Indian green hydrogen projects.
As part of the arrangement, HydrogenPro will license its cutting-edge electrolyser technology to Thermax, supplying stacks along with any future upgrades and offering technical support. HydrogenPro’s electrolyser technology is globally recognized for meeting international standards and certifications, backed by its in-house expertise in advanced electrode development and coating, ensuring high-efficiency hydrogen production systems.
Thermax, leveraging a full technology transfer, will engineer and manufacture critical system components and balance-of-plant elements for integration with HydrogenPro’s stacks. The two companies will also engage in joint research and development to create advanced solutions tailored to the evolving demands of the green hydrogen market in India.
In a major first step, Thermax will establish a state-of-the-art test station for short stacks at its Pune facility. This facility will serve as a crucial hub for validating system performance and accelerating technology deployment across the country.
