Hygreen Energy, a prominent global electrolyzer manufacturer, and Coxabengoa, a leading integrated water and energy utility, have announced a major strategic partnership to advance hydrogen technology, expand the market for electrolyzer solutions in Europe, and increase production capacity. This collaboration was formalized with a signing ceremony at Hygreen Energy’s Beijing headquarters, attended by Juanma Moreno, President of the Junta de Andalucía, Enrique Riquelme, Executive President of Coxabengoa, and a delegation from Andalusia.

The agreement, which has been in development for over a year, outlines several initiatives aimed at boosting hydrogen generation across Europe. Key aspects of the partnership include the creation of a European industrial platform to advance hydrogen technologies, enhance local production, and supply hydrogen production systems from Andalusia. This collaboration is a significant move for Coxabengoa, reflecting its dedication to sustainable development and the use of renewable energy, particularly green hydrogen.

For Hygreen Energy, the agreement represents a strategic opportunity to expand its industrial footprint in the European market. The company, with over 17 years of experience, excels in the design and manufacture of hydrogen production systems, including alkaline, PEM, and AEM electrolysis technologies. With a manufacturing capacity of 2 GW and over 300 projects completed across five continents, Hygreen Energy views Coxabengoa as a crucial partner for extending its market presence in Europe, leveraging Coxabengoa's established position in renewable technologies.

The partnership will integrate Coxabengoa's production and component integration capabilities with Hygreen Energy’s expertise in electrolyzer solutions, offering a competitive pathway for the adoption of electrolyzers and green hydrogen in Europe. This collaboration is set to contribute to a broader regional hydrogen economy and generate numerous skilled jobs in Andalusia, aligning with the Andalusian government's strategy to consolidate the entire hydrogen value chain in the region.

Javier Romero, Board Director at Hygreen Energy, highlighted the long-term benefits of the partnership, stating, “This agreement will significantly advance the hydrogen economy in Europe by combining our strengths to enhance electrolyzer technology, accelerate market adoption, and capitalize on the rapid growth of green hydrogen.”

Enrique Riquelme of Coxabengoa emphasized the strategic significance of the deal, noting, “This alliance showcases Andalusia’s leadership in the green hydrogen sector and its role in spearheading international, cutting-edge projects, such as this one.”

Hygreen Energy is a leading global electrolyzer manufacturer providing advanced solutions for green hydrogen production. The company specializes in Alkaline and PEM technologies, with its electrolyzers rigorously tested and validated through extensive field usage. Hygreen is also pioneering the development of AEM electrolyzers. With over 17 years of experience and more than 300 completed electrolyzer projects, Hygreen's engineers are among the most skilled in supporting EPCs and hydrogen project developers. By revolutionizing the electrolyzer industry with unparalleled efficiency, safety, cost-effectiveness, durability, and modularity, Hygreen Energy is driving the transition to clean energy with its globally deployed electrolyzer systems.
