Indian Hydrogen Market Lacklustre with Stable Natural Gas Cost Albeit Lower Downstream Industry Performance

Throughout February, the prices of hydrogen in the Indian market have remained rangebound with a slight variation on the positive side. This development was due to no significant change in the prices of natural gas as per monthly data released by the Indian Government the Domestic Natural gas price for the period March x to March xx was notified as $x.xx per MMBTU on Gross Calorific Value (GCV) basis. Furthermore, the government has set ceiling to the prices at $x.xx/MMBTU on GCV for the same period on gas produced by ONGC/Oil at their nomination fields.
